3 May 2012 : 100TH EXHIBITOR SIGNS UP FOR LARGEST INDUSTRY EVENT
100 companies have now signed up to exhibit at the seventh Outdoor Trade Show (OTS), which will take place from 9th to 11th September 2012 (indoor and tents) and 12th September 2012 (tents only) at Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire.
The 100th company to join the still increasing exhibitor list was PowerTraveller - the award winning manufacturer of portable solar powered chargers for mobile phones, laptops and other electronic gadgets. It will be the company’s first time as an OTS exhibitor.
OTS Organiser, Marta Williams said: ‘With over five months to go until the show in September, we are delighted to have reached this milestone so early. We are still receiving regular bookings, and urge those who have not signed up yet to do so as soon as possible as space is filling up fast!’
Other companies signed up to exhibit at OTS for the first time include: Summit International; Allport; Outdoor Gear; Troll; Thermos; Trailwise; Aclimatise; Zippo; Odlo; Man O’Leisure; Pop & Go Knickers; and Pyramid Outdoor, which has secured its space within the new outdoor grass blocks.
OTS, the UK’s largest trade exhibition for the outdoor industry, was established in 2006 with just 46 exhibitors and has increased in size every year since then, due to the opportunities it presents for both retailers and exhibitors alike. The show organisers have announced an exciting transformation for the 2012 event, thanks to the incorporation of an outdoor tent area, giving retailers the chance to see all clothing, footwear and accessory products at the same time as tents and awnings on the outside grass areas at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire. To see the latest news and full exhibitor list for OTS, please visit the show website: www.outdoortradeshow.com.
For those who have not yet booked a stand and would like to benefit from a retail audience of around 1,500 visitors, please contact MCS on Tel: 0161 980 7242 or e-mail marta@outdoortradeshow.com.
9 March 2012 : NEW OTS SHOW FOR 2012 - NOW INCORPORATING THE TENT SHOW
As previously announced, the 2012 OTS Show will incorporate the Tent Show to give retailers the chance to see all the clothing, footwear and accessory products at the same time as tents on the outside grass areas at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire.
In direct response to the exhibitor and visitor survey conducted by the organisers, the show will, for the first time in its history, incorporate a Sunday as an open day, to enable independent retailers who cannot visit the show during the week to have the chance to attend OTS.
In order to minimise costs to exhibitors in this current economic climate, and responding to feedback after OTS 2011, the halls will be open for three days, from the 9th to the 11th of September 2012, whilst the tent grass areas will remain open for an extra day on the 12th September to allow tent buyers extra time to browse through the tents on display.
Another OTS initiative to maintain costs for exhibitors at an affordable level, is to reward exhibitors who book their stands prior to the 1st March 2012 by reducing the cost to £65 per sqm for space only stands, back to the same level as 2009, giving excellent value for money. The cost will be increased to the same as 2011 after the 1st March 2012 to £75 per sqm.
For 2012 OTS will also have extended opening times, on Sunday and Monday it will be opened until 7pm, allowing retailers that visit the show for only a day more time to browse through the stands.
Booking forms will shortly be distributed to existing exhibitors for an opportunity to re-book 2011 stand locations or request a move, on a first come first served basis, until the 15th of January 2012. Grass areas for tents are also available for existing exhibitors on a first come first served basis. Booking forms to new exhibitors will be sent out on the 1st February 2012 to allow all suppliers the opportunity to benefit from the lower price incentive before the 1st March 2012.
Commenting on the show, OTS organiser Marta Williams said: “We are very excited at being able to offer a platform that ticks all the boxes for retailers and manufacturers. OTS has experienced a rapid growth in its six year history and the changes to the show for 2012 reflect our primary objective of responding to the needs of the industry and to provide a cost-effective show for suppliers and a worthwhile trip for retailers.”
OTS 2012 dates and opening times:
Sunday 9th September 2012 – 9am – 7pm
Monday 10th September 2012 – 9am – 7pm
Tuesday 11th September 2012 – 9am – 5pm
