1 September 2010 : KOZIKIDZ - STAND 39A

KoziKidz is a range of Swedish designed, functional, yet fashionable, outdoor clothing for children 1-10 years. KoziKidz was launched (to the consumer) in the UK in spring 2009 since when the distribution base has grown rapidly to over 100 customers in 7 different countries.

The range comprises completely waterproof rain sets, waterproof /breathable jackets and over trousers, softshell jackets as well as warm and cosy soft pile and micro fleeces. At OTS this year we will be showing KoziKidz autumn/winter 2010 range as well as previewing spring/summer 2011.

As well as returning perennial items both the autumn/winter range and the spring/summer 2011 range feature several brand new items, New for this coming winter are fleece lined wellies – perfect for keeping little feet warm and dry in wet & slushy weather. KoziKidz is also adding softshell trousers to the aldready established range of softshell jackets. Softshell, the material of the moment, is a very versatle material offering warmth, flexibility & shower resistance and was particularly visible on the ski slopes last winter.

For spring/summer 2011 KoziKidz will expand the range to include a top of the range waterproof riding jacket though you don’t need to to be a rider to wear one. As well as featuring a detachable hood and reflectors for easy visibility when it’s dark the riding jacket is generously cut to get a body protector under if you are a rider or a warm jumper/fleece if you’re not.

‘Ed & Phil Active’ launches new catalogue at OTS

‘Ed & Phil Active’, the product agency and distribution arm of ‘Ed & Phil’, the sporting and outdoor, publishing, products and inspirational talks business, is using OTS (the Outdoor Trade Show, 27-29 September, Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire) to launch its first comprehensive catalogue.

The company will be specifically promoting its ToeToe socks, Engo blister prevention patches and EDZ Outdoor clothing lines to outdoor retailers.

In addition to agencies for ToeToe, Engo and EDZ, Ed & Phil Active also holds a UK agency for Wigwam socks, which is also exhibiting at OTS. It is a distributor for Silverpoint (also an OTS exhibitor) torches and lanterns, LED Lensor torches and nutritional products from CherryActive, Munchy Seeds and Castus Be Fruity fruit bars.

The company has also recently launched and distributes its own range of running and outdoor activity belts and pouches under the ‘Active Motivation’ brand name.

Established by partners and fellow long distance runners Edward Chapman and Phillip Howells as a running books publishing business in 2005 the company moved into product distribution and agency in 2008 in order to provide to a wider range of offerings to its growing base of now over 50 UK independent retailers in the running, sports and outdoor markets.

12 July 2010 : OTS HITS 100 EXHIBITORS

The Outdoor Trade Show (OTS), the UK’s only dedicated Autumn trade event for the outdoor industry, has hit a century, with Activelight becoming the 100th exhibitor to confirm it’s attendance to the show. The show will take place from the 27th to 29th September at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire.

The 2009 event saw a total number of 105 exhibitors located across two halls, a big increase from the 46 exhibitors when the show started in 2006! This year’s event is hotting up to be bigger again, with a 33% increase in space sales compared to this time last year.

Latest names to be added to the exhibitor list include Ronhill, Turboflame and Casstrom. With an influx of new and returning brands securing stands at the event, available hall space is now in short supply with only 10% of space available. The latest OTS floor plan can be downloaded at www.outdoortradeshow.com outlining the full range of exhibitors who will be displaying their range of products and brands at the show.

Commenting on the latest news from OTS, organisers MCS said; “We are pleased to be ahead of last years exhibitor numbers by such a good margin. OTS is expanding year upon year and we are hoping to increase the total number of exhibitors again for the 2010 event giving visitors more choice and more to see. Any brands thinking about being present at the 2010 event should secure their stands as soon as possible as space is selling fast.”

16 December 2009 : OTS - GET READY FOR 2010

After closing its doors on such a high, the organisers of the Outdoor Trade Show (OTS) are pleased to announce the dates for the 2010 event.

27th – 29th September 2010 will host the fifth OTS and it will again be held across two exhibition halls at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire, with over 7500sqm of space available. Existing and new exhibitors are already keen to secure space at the Autumn event, impressed with the quality and amount of visitors at the 2009 event.

OTS provides a cost effective platform for outdoor brands to display product ranges for the coming Spring season and also current ranges for retailers to place top up orders for the busy Christmas period. OTS presents a relaxed environment to do business, while having all the essential features an exhibition requires.

The 2010 event is sure to again offer an impressive, diverse range of brands with a wide selection of products on display. Show organisers; Alasdair Scobbie & Marta Williams comment; “It is great to be able to announce the 2010 dates so soon after the 2009 event. Following such a successful show there has already been significant interest in OTS 2010 with suppliers keen to secure space. For 2010 we are hoping to grow the show further attracting more brands and visitors.”
