The sixth Outdoor Trade Show (OTS 2011) was a highly successful event, with 1265 trade visitors attending the show over the three day period. The show was the largest in its history with 135 exhibitors and was host to the latest products and innovations within the outdoor industry.
Since its launch in 2006 OTS has seen a steady growth of both exhibitors and last year's event again broke previous records. 135 exhibitors could be seen throughout the two halls of the show and with over 300 brands on display, visitors had plenty to see.
OTS has come a long way since the inaugural event in 2006 (46 exhibitors and 621 visitors) and demonstrates the necessity for an autumn trade event. A positive, upbeat atmosphere was felt throughout the halls with exhibitors opening new accounts and orders being written.
Although visitor numbers were marginally down on last year's show, the organisers received excellent feedback from exhibitors and visitors alike. When the opening day drew to a close, a large number of exhibitors and visitors gathered for the Outdoor Trade Social, keen to see which of the finalists in each Novel Awards category had been favoured by the judges.
Each of the winners were presented with their award by special guest judge and mountaineer, Bonita Norris. The Geigerrig 2 Litre Hydration Engine by Whitby & Co was not only selected as the winner of the Accessories category, but also the coveted Product of the Year award.
